Open Division Rules and Information

Laws of the game

  1. All FIFA Laws of the Game pertain to the 11v11 Open Division.
  2. The referees and Ocala Stampede officials are in control of the game-day decisions, including spectators.

Registration

  1. Captains are responsible for turning in registration documents for each player before the season starts. Documents include full payment, registration form, and picture. Failure to provide a roster, paid in full of atleast 15 players, will result in the team not being allowed to participate for that season.
  2. Captains must register online and declare their team name and colors.
  3. Registration documents can be found on ocalastampede.com.

Captains

  1. The Captains of each team will be responsible for distributing the schedule to each team and communicating to their team information sent by the league, including suspensions, weather delays, game cancellation due to weather, etc.
  2. Captains are responsible to attend league meeting that will be communicated in advance of the season to go over details.
  3. It is the Captain’s responsibility to inform their team of suspensions.

Roster

  1. Rosters have a 15 player minimum. Teams that do not have 15 player minumim registered, will not be allowed to participate. Maximum roster will cut off at 24.
  2. Numbers on jerseys must match the numbers on the game-day roster (The name, number and picture must match when the referee checks in the roster)
  3. Rosters can consist of male and female players of any age.
  4. Roster size will be a maximum of 24 players.
  5. If a player is not officially on a roster and plays in a game, the team will forfeit all games that player has played in.
  6. Players can be added/replaced up until 50% of the regular season. After that point, rosters are frozen. Specific roster freeze date will be announced for each season.

Uniforms

  1. A teams uniform must be matching in color with a number easily visible on the back of jersey. Team uniforms must match in sock color, short color and jersey color. Each match will be left to the referee’s discretion upon irregularities.
  2. Goalkeepers must be in a different color, suitable to the referee.

Suspensions

  1. All FIFA Laws of the Game pertain to 11v11 Open Division Games.
  2. A red card or a double yellow (2 yellow cards in one game) will automatically bring a 1 match suspension. A red card or doubly yellow offense will be evaluated upon the referee report by the Ocala Stampede management and will be subject to a longer suspension. Decisions on suspension length will be notified by the next scheduled game.
  3. Team Captains will be notified of suspensions and it is their responsibility to communicate that to their team. Suspended players who participate in games will cost their teams forfeited games.
  4. Each red card and double yellow offense will result in a $25.00 fine.
  5. Any red card offense can be subject to suspension for the entire season, determined by the Ocala Stampede officials.

Bench Activity

  1. The bench area is only for team officials (coaches), players, captains, referee’s and Ocala Stampede officials. All other persons will be asked to sit on the spectator side.
  2. The bench area needs to have trash picked up and is the team’s responsibility that just concluded its game. Failure to clean the bench area will be subject to a $25 fine to the team’s captain by the Ocala Stampede officials.

Play-Offs

  1. In a single table format, the top 4 teams in the league table will play in a Semi-Final round, then a Championship night the following weekend. Points in the league table are earned with a win (3 points), draw (1 point), loss (0 points). In regards to a forfeit, the team that forfeited the game will result in 0 points being earned and the opposing team will be awarded a win (3 points) with a +3 goals for.

    1. Goal differential
    2. Goals for
    3. Goals against

 

All decisions regarding suspensions, expulsion of players from the league, expulsion of fans from the league will be subject to the Ocala Stampede officals, referees, and City of Ocala officials.
